Manchester United vs Newcastle United

First game of the season. Manchester United versus understrength Newcastle United. But still, The Toon manage to escape from Old Trafford with a point. Looking at the Red Devil's performance, it is obvious that they miss the golden touch of Ronaldo and Tevez. As is showed by the game against Portsmouth before, Man Utd lack the cutting edge in front of the goal. Rooney looks a shadow of himself while Campbell obviously still needs time to adapt to English Premier League. Hopefully Sir Alex Ferguson can get a new striker before transfer window close. On the positive note, it is nice to see youngster such as Campbell, Rafael and Possebon given the chance to impress. Hopefully, they can get couple more appearance for this season.

Unlike Manchester United, the other team in the 'top four' are having bright start. The most impressive is Chelsea which beat Portsmouth by 4 goals at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool and Arsenal also manage to won their opening game.

Manchester United must improve if they want to defend EPL and Champions League title. for another season. Hopefully the Red Devil can perform better for the next matches.
